Y’all these phantom notifications are killing me. Anyone else getting got?

Rolled out improvements. There were 2 issues:
- Follows trigger the red dot, which is a nuisance for popular users. Why now? We fixed a bug with missing follow notifications, so as of a few days ago you see real volumes.
- We showed users with incomplete profiles, resulting in "ghosts". These are real follows though.

I can see this. It's a little crazy making. I feel weirdly better knowing they might be at least real in some sense (vs totally fake)

I think they might be real notifications of a new account following you just the follow section is buried a few sections below other stale notifications

It’s too much, I feel like something is broken

Working on outcasters.xyz + linkcaster.xyz

I hate that the new-cast in channel notification dots are stale or sticky. I often clear one, see it pop back, and there's nothing new to see.
