It’s hard to see how this trend stops because you have to be visible to socialize it, and with the heightened visibility comes increased appearance scrutiny. Pam Anderson’s been doing a good job, but still people hate her for simply having the courage to be ugly in a world where it’s worse for a woman to be ugly than it is for her to be as dumb as a monkey

This reminds me of how many short guys think they are doomed, but if they just decided it didn't matter and somehow found confidence anyway, it would barely slow them down at all. Easier said than done, but possible

I've not been following closely, but I am inspired by her. It takes a completely different kid of courage. The secret rule is that women can say whatever they want as long as they are pretty. The fact that she is confronting this head-on is bad ass.
