I don’t particularly care if you think adding dark mode will not add meaningful PMF signal. There is a certain aesthetic morality behind product craftsmanship.

makes sense for Eng/technical/enterprise products

I get your point, but if product is even slightly complex adding dark mode will materially increase the time you'll need to spend on considering colour combos to avoid usability / accessibility issues
