I suspect people who say they hate running should try walking for several months before trying running. Unless you're either aerobically gifted or already in good shape, any running speed will spike your heart rate uncomfortably high.

Just like with deadlifts, the risk-reward for running doesn't seem great. I would much rather play tennis or soccer, which is at least social and enjoyable as well, and engages other parts of the body

Also running is hell on your joints. I always recommend biking, elliptical, or water therapy as aerobic activity for people with joint problems and if you don’t have joint problems and can walk then absolutely do that.

For most people zone 2 effort is probably a run-walk combo Doing that most days, plus 1-2 intense intervals a week (of whatever cardio) is probably good for most people

I don't like running, I prefer any other activity than running, bicycle, swimming, but running is just lame

Most people should try to avoid all lifts! My neighbour over 70 says it keeps her young, she never rides the lift.
