It turns out that the difference between making one physical thing and 100s of the same physical thing is bigger than I thought

Randomness of things that can go wrong exponentially increases. Like somehow item 90 will exhibit a completely new, never seen before issue. Murphyโ€™s Law can be annoying.

Could such an undertaking not lead to this conclusion? Feels like it only amps you up more to see it through and overcome such challenges at scale. I believe I saw a cast before about you documenting the process. Is that something you're still considering, or is it already underway?

Yeah things break down at scale. Tubes clog, materials harden, thermo cycles fracture things you thought were solid

Hmm like the inverse of software. So robotics is the Ilm of hardware in this analogy. Except just like hardware itโ€™s hard to scale up. Maybe a good thing to slow down evil robot ai overlords (the human controlling the ai is evil, I love super intelligent beings.) Natureโ€™s checks and balances.

scaling is where dreams meet reality. prototype to production is like going from a garage band to stadium tour - whole different game

Simple distinction between craft and industry. Scaling hundreds of the same item, the dynamics must change dramatically
