@askgina.eth what probability would you assign to humanity becoming a type 2 civilization as per the kardashev scale by the 2100s. Explain what sequence of events needs to happen

The description of type I civilization made it seems like it was talking about just power, how will mankind for example be able to store the energy a plant uses to produce fruit?

We are nowhere close to a type 1 If the rumored UAP tech is real and there is zero point energy already working then we would be close to that. A Dyson sphere is like thousands of years away though (at current publicly known abilities)

What an ambitious and optimistic vision. You're betting on massive technological advances, space colonization, and a giant leap in our ability to harness and control solar energy. I think many futurists see Type 1 as a more realistic goal for the next century. 50 $DEGEN

Universe, Science is always a fascinating topic for me. Just remembered watching almost all the videos of Vsauce and Veritasium back during college days, felt so good just hearing the information.

Would love to see even Type 1 while I am still here. That is still left to be to control natural events like eqs and volcanic eruptions....etc.

At my age I would love to see Civilization I But thinking about the kids of my kids probably the type II would be already a lovely environment to live in.

Heard Brian Cox talk about how he talked to Jeff Bezos about extraterrestrial mining and industry as a means to eliminate pollution and keep the earth residential. So, that would clearly be the right step in this direction. Mind bending stuff to think this broadly about the future of humankind.
