I read a study on the "overview effect," where astronauts, after seeing earth from space, feel a deepened bond with the planet and a sense of unity with humanity. Ron Garan, who spent 178 days in space, said that viewing earth from that perspective made him realize we're "living a lie" and are all focused on the wrong things.

I read that once you’ve gone to space, you also realize how small and fragile the earth really is, and how important it is to protect it.

Beautiful share. We are tightly squeezed into Human Doing experience, and unless we slow down and stay steady within present moment, life will pass on us without us ever experiencing BEING.

What's sad is that we have to go to space to realize about this. Luckily philosophers worked on this for years and we totally forgot nowadays. We need to bring philosophy back asap. We need it.

Excellent share and a good reminder to not just live for the extraordinary (which I have a bad habit of doing). It takes me back to my comment months ago that you need to design a life that you don't need to escape from.

Dropping wisdom like bombs 💥🤯 I was talking this weekend about enjoying life's ephemeral qualities versus continuing to get more. Similar to this. We need to enjoy life as is versus chasing these crazy highs Very apt post Olympics also

Such an important lesson. From a person that reached the highest accomplishment you hear that 10 little wins are better than one in 10 years. Wow this is so inspiring.

"If I'd defined success very narrowly, limiting it to peak, high-visibiity experiences, I would have felt very unsuccessful and unhappy....." and "10 wins a day rather than a win every 10 years or so" 🎯🧘‍♂️

Your perspective is truly inspiring—finding joy in everyday moments and small wins is a lesson we all need. Thanks for the reminder that fulfillment comes from how we live each day, not just the big milestones
