I ran earlier in the week, but was feeling pretty good this morning and decided to do a bonus run. Sub-23 minutes next week. I can feel it.

Because we’re American and that’s how we’re coded. I have no problem using either. I’ve become pretty good at converting quickly as I race internationally often. Metric is clearly a superior system though. A good benchmark is a 4 min per K pace = about 6:26 per mile pace

Until this week, I usually do other forms of cardio during the week (e.g., stairs, bike, elliptical), but I might start running more since my endurance is getting better.

im just following the training program of my coach but i can say that doing sprints has been a game changer for me. thursday for example was 2km warmup on z2 4 x 2km at 4:30 min per km + 2 min slow slow z2 in between each sprint 2km slowdown on z2 (which is about 6:30 min per km for me at this point) he spoke to me about the importance of these for teaching your heart about things that I don’t remember yet just saying. you may get to sub 20 sooner than you think 👀

I ran a half marathon a few years ago and was following a training program which included speed work. I agree, sprints are a game changer.
