Thank you for writing this and putting a great number of arguments for it together. Whenever I meet these people I am always trying to tell them that this numbers driven cold world they maybe want not even they would enjoy.

World without creative fiction, narratives, arts... Not one I'd wanna live in. But they rarely seem convinced.

Their loss, but I fear what the consequences are if too many start having this view.

Well said. I’m a big history fan these days but would never slander fiction. So much joy and experience to be found there
