My perspective is that faith in absolute truth gives us the freedom to question without fear. A firm foundation makes it possible to build speculative structures.

Do you think absolute truth systems choices should be mostly* focused on the hardened choices (catholic, Judaism, Islam, etc) or are there alternatives? How do you see people finding / managing these alternatives?

I think seeing them as disparate is a relatively recent phenomena of the post enlightenment era People of the past did definitely see theology and science of the same branch.

I agree. I also can’t speak to Islam, but I know in Judaism we argue about what the truth is all the time and have many different branches of thought.
