I agree, for Farcaster, but I think Warpcast is in a weird place where its trying to be X with benefits, i.e. an open-web platform, when its really a playground/prototype for ppl building new little villages

Well said and spot on. It took a while to come to the realization that certain experiences have to be lived to be understood and fully appreciated. These are still nascent days, yet they’re built with the history of everything that came before it.

largely agree, probably wouldn't say the dark forest theory is wrong per se. community formation typically begins with a small number of folks doing their own thing real world cities all started off as tiny villages, some literally hidden in dense forests tomorrow's internet cities will all start out as dark forest villages at some point; some will just grow and scale quicker than others
