I mean, I am not even sure it’s a problem. Let’s start there. 😂 I think this is an apocalypse cult on par with climate doomers. It presumes there will never be any positive rate of change ever, over an entire century. I am not sure what I would do but it’s multi factoral problem. I would look at how to address $$ and cultural attitudes Kids are a luxury good and an aspie rant from a bunch of nerds who call themselves live players isn’t going to convince people to give up cushy lifestyles for a baby. To that end factors related to material conditions I hope will self resolve as a factor of declining population and kickstart babies again. Men need to adjust their attitudes towards women. We aren’t as bad as S Korea, but it’s not great. It’s either that or full on subjugate women again which I believe is also possible

Curious to your thoughts on who benefits the most from this narrative?

My narrative or the doomer one? The doomers are pushing the idea that space travel solves the fertility crisis. So..... I mean. There's one area that benefits. I think I think it's en vogue to express either a profound pessimism or a naive optimism. This type of thinking also makes those who express it look smart and interesting. Like a cool Cassandra I think kids are unambiguously good and there should be more of them. I don't think the techbro histronics are appropriate however.

The doomer one. I suppose if people take this solution seriously and gave them money to do it, then they would benefit. But it’s more likely the state will propose some solution.
