I can't bring myself to quotecast instead of reply. It just feels socially off. I'm trying to continue the conversation, not start a new one! Would appreciate a more reply-oriented experience. Maybe surfacing great replies in the algo instead of relying on people like @trigs to find and quotecast them. I'm sure that this has already been considered. Just my 2c.

I've been thinking recently about these dynamics. The way I'm looking at it right now is to do both: - reply to keep the conversation going with the single person I'm replying to - quote cast to surface the discussion to source additional input from others It can create a disconnected overall discussion between the OP and any new contributors, but reply threads become unmanageable with more than 2 ppl anyway. So it doesn't solve everything, but it serves the purpose of allowing the conversation to go deeper as well as get more reach.

I actually tried my first quote cast of a convo just now so there would be more visibility if others had similar thoughts. I definitely prefer replying so agree on the boost element

Just have the conversation in the way that feels natural right? All the important people in the conversation get the notification and can follow it. Why do you need the extra attention of everyone else in the world just to have a conversation?
