I can't bring myself to quotecast instead of reply. It just feels socially off. I'm trying to continue the conversation, not start a new one! Would appreciate a more reply-oriented experience. Maybe surfacing great replies in the algo instead of relying on people like @trigs to find and quotecast them. I'm sure that this has already been considered. Just my 2c.

Quote casting is a pretty common phenomenon here. It's largely riffing on an original post (usually image) or copypasta (usually text).

Sometimes people quote cast to fork conversations of their own, or (my personal favorite) recontextualize with a channel.

e.g. good idea → /someone-build 
bad idea → /bad-takes
