Zerion / Frame / etc, all use the tiny icon. I'm accustomed to the badge (and its color). Grey text would confuse me.

2. badges. Its not really 100% clear based on text labels that it refers to a chain, IMO. Like "ZORA" could mean minted on zora 🀷 and OpenSea uses badges for this, so its a UI people are starting to be familiar with.

I feel like you can do a mashup as you teach new habits and once the community understands that badges are for layer 2 you can drop the text and only use the badges.

#2 / Right - that's how I'm used to looking to see what network a coin in my wallet is on, and using that on an NFT collection seems more intuitive as a result.
