From experience, part time / contractors for early stage startups are usually counterproductive. They just wonβt be committed, loyal, and giving 120%, while incurring massive management overhead. Donβt believe Iβve ever seen a success story. Proper full time employees or donβt hire at all.

Not sure that donβt hire at all is the solution. Itβs about time to market. If the time spent to onboard, educate etc is lower than the value they bring might be ok. Talking about devs now. CM, bizdev, legal can be part-time

What you really need is a 10x technical cofounder.

As a cofounder candidate? They need to come from your own network / your friend / past coworker not someone you just met at a hackathon. In which case you already know whoβs a 10x.
