I'm long electric cycling. Bikes are a technology, electric ones are better. Tour De France and others would be 10x more interesting with electric bikes and constraints like only battery per race and a weight limit. Tradeoffs and strategy become fascinating while improving the tech. Athletes still have to athlete.

*only one battery per race. Would you take 5% boost for the whole race or be 2x faster for 10% of the race? but have to carry the extra weight up the mountain? probably advances electric bikes the same way F1 advances car tech. makes cycling more broadly exciting.

I'm here for the electric "vehicles" that are less than a car, more than a bike. Lots of cool stuff happening here.

No way! Cycling is about pain. You and your bike. Nobody wants to watch e-bikes…

The line would be too blurry and I'd become tour the France for 🛵, what would be cool is to have a peleton of traditional riders and the day after a peleton of high end electric cycling gear having a race. Would allow the show to narrow down focus on what happening and monitor battery levels etc. Sounds really cool

I love ebikes. I see them as a commuter vehicle that helps us escape the disgusting nightmare that is cities built for cars. Not personally interested in watching people race them but then I find watching sports to be one of the least pleasant things imaginable, so I’m probably not the target audience

I’d love to see this but electric cycling is a different sport than something totally driven by the human body I doubt that cycling will every have batteries unless it’s a new sport or new division

gm, What I love about them is they allow the mobile challenged to get out of doors. And that they’re a low cost and clean transportation. Take the money saved on car insurance, gas, repairs, etc and invest it. Long may you run, NFA,
