I'm curious to know how many ppl have had very 'untraditional' intakes? ie i've mostly been hired through Twitter DM's, have gone through very few 'traditional' tech interview loops, I feel like startup land heavily tilts in this direction but especially web3 does

Half my jobs were through networking (like 5/10). Usually I get hired for unposted jobs

Found all my web3 freelance clients through participation in project Discords (for the past 3 years) and Farcaster (more recently). I love it. Every client relationship I've built this way has been a much better fit than any conventional job I had before I got into crypto.

I think the less prestigious the sector/industry, the more likely it is that the talented people there find their roles via networks/DMs Relatively more important to seek out top talent
