I want to talk to ChatGPT about books—granularly reference, make outlines, debate core points, expand on topics, etc. I would easily pay $20 per book to do this. Why can't OpenAI facilitate that txn, and why wouldn't authors be open to it? The alternative (pirating) feels like limewire before iTunes came around.

While ordering at a Lebanese restaurant, I saw "yogurt drink" on the menu and thought oh hell yeah. When the server dropped it off I thought it was a milk for my son. Then I thought oh haha... it's probably still bomb. Sure enough it was quite literally drinkable yogurt, no more, no less 😭

@nikitabier has made a counter point which I’ve come to appreciate which is that adding friction in onboarding is not always a bad thing. If it helps meaningfully with retention and engagement, it’s often worth doing. For us, requiring pfp only causes a 0.1% dropoff but makes real profiles look more legit and spammer easy to identify
