Asking "do you agree with my opinion X" feels good in the moment: the other person is more likely to agree, as agreeing feels good. Asking "what do you think" without pre-supplying your take is riskier. But it's worth it, because you get more information, which is far more valuable than feeling good in the moment.

PSA We're migrating Warpcast's direct cast system to v2 in the next day or two. i just don’t understand why would I want $100 reward from anything to do with data privacy? Am I going to add five new passwords to 1password and receive some password dollars ? makes no sense. The reward should match the goal winning $100 doesn’t help my day to become more private, unless I can upgrade services.
