Things I’ll say on farcaster but not on X: Some days NextJS feels like a massive top of funnel scam to get you locked in to Vercel only features. The amount of breaking changes and complexity to utility ratio seems very off with this project…

Facts

I generally don’t mind for smaller projects where I need to ship something quick, but it’s definitely worth your time to learn how to migrate to another stack/platform.

100% — pushing server side rendering so hard is one of those for me

+1 on top of funnel, $5k paid in stupid overcharges.

The problem is even larger b/c their serverless deployment infra pushes you to use many other PaaSes (want a db? — neon, redis? — upstash, websockets — …, etc.)
