I have two Breville Barista Expresses, and I got both off of Craigslist. Just needed to replace a valve manifold on one of them. I'd also mention the grinder can jam with hard roasted beans. Other than that they've been great.

I only have a cheap electric stove and can’t control the temperature the way I’d need to for a good (not burnt) brew with a moka pot ):

This is what I’m looking at doing now - I looked at the price history of the machine and it’s only 8% cheaper than its normal price (not the one they hiked it up to for the month before Black Friday to make it look like a better deal lol)

Yes, It’s an investment. Yes. Have you researched used machines? I’m in my “buy used” era.  But go big and do it new or used
