rn if someone is banned from a channel, they can still cast into it and it will show on your recent feed 

even if you don’t follow them sometimes and other folks you follow interact with the banned person’s content

for better or worse this is technically impossible with how cast architecture works (any cast can reply to any cast), but a moderator can set "no recent feed" for channels which effectively hides all unmoderated casts in the warpcast client and individuals can also mute the people they don't want to see casts from

nah bc automod doesn’t affect whether or not the banned person’s casts go in an individual user’s home feed 

yes you can mute them but that isn’t the issue here - bans on channels should be “you cannot cast into this channel” not “your cast in this channel won’t show up on Warpcast” especially if channels are part of the protocol and owned by user’s wallets

more broadly, if we’re not decentralizing channels anytime soon, maybe it makes sense to just bring back all the old tools and ui that were ditched

Farcaster does not believe in bans. I have moved through the stages of grief on this issue and have arrived at acceptance 😂

I'm still waiting for moderation actions to trickle to other tools. If I mute User A on app 1 I don't want to see them in my feed on app 2.
