Great thought. Messaging apps / social networks should've been some form of Layer 7/8 in TCP/IP, but web3 fixes it?

In honor of today's eclipse, here is my favorite Asimov story: 'Nightfall' "If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore, and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God?" https://sites.uni.edu/morgans/astro/course/nightfall.pdf

🤯 Honestly, what a time to be alive. Thank you @tr -- and cheers to the next generation of hungry younglings falling in love with Computer Science with crypto thru your foundation courses!

Absolutely! Don't want to overdramatise this but: I grew up typical low income Indian family. The course not just helped me with tactical algo skills but I feel in love with CS theory in very deep ways. Today, I'm definitely in the 1%, and doing AI in a YC company. You were my "I'm there for those who seek" Jedi master

I've gotten many hundreds of messages like this since my MOOCs on algorithms launched in 2011. Hearing stories like this never, ever gets old. @has so happy you found it useful!

@tr I did your algorithms class on Coursera back in the day. You changed the course of my life with it. Between you and Andrew Ng, I received all a student could ever hope for. I'm eternally grateful 🙏

Had a lot of fun putting together my first frame! A photo album (using GET /photos/random from unsplash.com). Their API is rate limited, so I guess if it works for you, it works for you... https://framecaster.replit.app/

Our latest blog post at @spindl is about the new hotness in Web 3: Frames. Ironically, the origin of Frames is a massive FB product flameout from when I was there called Open Graph. Here's how Web 3 is doing what Web 2 couldn't (or can't). https://blog.spindl.xyz/p/why-farcaster-frames-are-important
