SILICON VALLEY CANON REGISTRATION OPENS TOMORROW AT 9A PT Some details & fine print before we start... The course will run for six weeks from September 23 - November 3. The next 7 days are "syllabus week" intended to let the class fill and to give people time to download the material. I've structured the curriculum to be self-service. While there aren't mandatory assignments or scores, there are exercises intended to deepen your knowledge of the material. I'm not your professor and won't track you down if you don't do the readings. It's your time & money; you get out what you put in. Due to the way Hypersub is setup, the course consists of two 1-month subscriptions. This is intended to give people a trial period so they can choose to renew for the second half if they are getting value. The Science of Can and Can't is the most interesting book I've read this year. It's a pop-sci exposition of the quest to expand the domain of physics to the domain of counterfactuals (things that could be). The author developed constructor theory together with David Deutsch which is a formalization of these ideas. If you're gonna buy this, it's also worth grabbing The Book of Why by Judea Pearl which is the AI counterpart to this book.

Even though I’m an extrovert, it’s difficult for me to maintain connections with people online. I prefer calling over texting, and I love seeing people's eyes and their smiles. This is why the first thing I did on warpcast was to find people in my location and meet them irl. Since the beginning I’ve seen many complaints about how difficult it is for newbies here, but It was obvious to me that they are just losing sight of its real value. I may not experience fast growth, but I’m taking the best this platform can offer me. bc no matter where I am, there’s always something valuable to gain.

I sat down and thought about it... I am almost 36... I have a house in the country, a car, an apartment, handy, in the head and pants order, I earn like not bad, like everything is, but the main thing is not, happiness....
