bought 5 BTC back in 2012 because my brother told me to. stored it in a software wallet and didn't back up the keys. wiped and sold the laptop in 2015 forgetting that I even had the BTC. lost it all. my biggest theoretical investment loss

Read about the Ethereum ICO on bitcoin forums in 2014 and didn't invest because the project sounded too ambitious for a 19 year old founder. MtGox had just lost $1B of customer deposits so it wasn't looking great.

selling the equivalent of 200K$ in Shiba Inu after a day of holding for like 100 dollars back in Feb 2021 it was one of my first 5 shitcoin purchases but the fact that I stumbled upon a top 50 coin at like ~50K MC is mind boggling, a lot of lessons learned lol , made some money still at least but nothing life changing
