bought 5 BTC back in 2012 because my brother told me to. stored it in a software wallet and didn't back up the keys. wiped and sold the laptop in 2015 forgetting that I even had the BTC. lost it all. my biggest theoretical investment loss

Aped into a memecoin with my sis' money ($1k) on Dexscreener. Did a 10x, but I didn't take profit because I was waiting for 100x. Woke up to meet it at $90, with the hopes that it would go up again, I watched it go to $5💀

I sold a sizable % of my portfolio early last bull run…. and invested in stocks. I thought I was being conservative, ended up loosing 20% instead of gaining an additional 100%+ Should have just held through.

Read about the Ethereum ICO on bitcoin forums in 2014 and didn't invest because the project sounded too ambitious for a 19 year old founder. MtGox had just lost $1B of customer deposits so it wasn't looking great.
