Obviously the infrastructure can't handle hundreds of cyclists at the same time. But when is this the reality? I am certain the infrastructure would change, when all these people would actually cycle every day. But they don't. It's just another fun event for them.

β€œThe idea is for people to group together to make it safe for each other to ride bicycles through their streets, based on the old adage: there's safety in numbers.” ^ personally I find it pretty awesome. Rather than being smushed by the side of the road without a bike lane, for a brief moment you get to experience a city with full transportation safety. Understand it can be annoying, and I misspoke when I said that was the point!
