Have briefly come into possession of a Workcycles Gr8. Bicycle excels at three things: * Comfort * Durability * Utility Fixing it up (and enjoying it a little) before passing it on to a friend in Berlin. Who loves dutch utility bikes?

“Up until the safety bike, women's skirts were an almost insurmountable obstacle to riding. […] The only serious attempt at an alternative was when James Starley designed an extraordinary side-saddle penny-farthing in the 1870s, with both pedals on a crankshaft to one side of the front wheel”

More Moulton madness. Wrapped up this project with a very modern drivetrain centred around an XDR Hope Road hub, enabling a 9-32 tooth 3t cassette and a 56 tooth Garbaruk chainring. Despite the tiny (17”) wheels the bike has the same gear inches as a standard road bike (29” - 103”)
