Any critical mass enthusiasts here?

Attended this awesome Wild Pearl bicycle party in downtown Singapore on Saturday.

I love cycling. 
But the critical mass thing is an absolute annoyance.

It’s a forcing function showing the limits of infrastructure. It’s designed to annoy!

Obviously the infrastructure can't handle hundreds of cyclists at the same time. 

But when is this the reality? 

I am certain the infrastructure would change, when all these people would actually cycle every day. 

But they don't. It's just another fun event for them.

“The idea is for people to group together to make it safe for each other to ride bicycles through their streets, based on the old adage: there's safety in numbers.”

^ personally I find it pretty awesome. Rather than being smushed by the side of the road without a bike lane, for a brief moment you get to experience a city with full transportation safety. 

Understand it can be annoying, and I misspoke when I said that was the point!

It's not the impression when I observe the critical mass crowd. 
At least in my city, it has become a party on wheels where people listen to loud music, drink alcohol and try to pick up girls.
