I’ll repeat this 1000 more times: consumer social apps in 2023 require a mobile-first experience. The last time desktop-first worked was in 2010.

I totally agree. But: I believe (you have the data, maybe I'm wrong) that mobile is where consumption takes place and desktop is where production takes place. In case of Farcaster, there's space (different clients) to optimize for both.

Depends. Look at TikTok and Instagram. Production for most users is on mobile.

You're right. But that's the type of content ideally created on mobile. It's not video vs text, it's the specific type of video or photos: see TikTok video (mobile) vs YouTube video (desktop).

Out of necessity. Instagram on desktop is completely broken. (I think they do it on purpose.) I don't even know how professional social media managers handle this. Produce the content on desktop, somehow transfer to phone, and then upload from there? It's just crazy.
