I’ll repeat this 1000 more times: consumer social apps in 2023 require a mobile-first experience. The last time desktop-first worked was in 2010.

I totally agree. But: I believe (you have the data, maybe I'm wrong) that mobile is where consumption takes place and desktop is where production takes place. In case of Farcaster, there's space (different clients) to optimize for both.

Depends. Look at TikTok and Instagram. Production for most users is on mobile.

It can be the case if it's mostly mobile experience there's more consumption happening than if people used desktop more. Would be interesting to see stats for reddit, people write a lot there and for me typing big chunks of text was always uncomfortable and it's unoptimized for desktop so I didn't write there at all.

Exactly my thoughts! If it's TikTok or Instagram - theres no useful content there that pushes us forward, only entertainment.
