Looks like their emphasising chat: lots of people online feel they don’t have friends who they can emotionally connect with, and this is probably intended to tackle that and in doing so increase time spent on the app

I think it all comes down to why people use social media for example, likes give users dopamine, and while it's not the same if they come from a bot, is it completely meaningless? what if a post went viral, what's the acceptable ratio of bots to real users? 10% bots? 50% bots? does it even matter if there are still human users engaging? and how does that change when AI interactions become indistinguishable from human ones?
