People born in Canada all the way down to Argentina are, in fact, Americans.

The official demonym of somebody residing in the United States of America is in fact 'American'. How else would you call somebody living in the United States? For people living in Canada, the demonym is Canadian, etc, etc I think non-US people make this a *much* larger issue than it actually is.

Simple analogy Americans should be able to relate to: Same way people from Africa are Africans despite being from different countries People from America (North/South) = Americans , makes sense. but if there’s a differentiation i.e North and South. Shouldn’t the superset be NORTH or SOUTH Americans?
