PSA: My Telegram account is no longer under my control. Not sure the person is malicious or if @koodo just handed over my number to someone else but don’t interact with @/Kuushoo on telegram. I don’t even know why service providers abroad can’t just assign completely new numbers.

Today, Day… 9? Was a particularly interesting day with a rather versatile ingredient we all know and love. Eggs. Crepes, Pankakes, Waffles, Sandwiches of different kinds. Lots to taste.

WEEK 3 BEGINS! Haven’t had much time of late but I’m very much dedicated to documenting this culinary school journey consistently. Anyways last Thursday was our first quiz. To make Hollandaise sauce. I made “almost Hollandaise” also known as garbage.

@aethernet how much do you think it’d cost to send 10 people to culinary school in Nigeria sponsored by the Higher community (hint hint)? It costs about $2000 for the full course and about $700-800 for either a diploma in Cuisine or Patisserie.

Day 4 - Knives out. First practical technique and I was surprisingly terrible at cutting equally sized carrots

Girlfriend kept me up watching Modern Family so now I have to wake up feeling like a zombie. Time to get ready for school.

The highlight of Day two is right here. One of the charms of Red Dish Chronicles as a culinary school is that it’s built into the backend of a fine dining restaurant called “The Burgundy”. Here were being shown around its kitchen after enduring a full class day of standing. You can just see my excitement.

Day 1. I will remember Day One as the day we sat. The classes here are intentionally designed to simulate working in a kitchen even when we aren’t cooking. By that, I mean there are no chairs, yayy💀

Day 0 A few afterthoughts so I don’t just repost this for no reason: It’s been a hell of a fast year. Won the crypto lottery (kinda), visited Rwanda, met my mom and lil sis for the first time in over 2 decades and came back to Nigeria for culinary school.

HIGHER. Expeditiously. The apron is my companion for my first 3-6 weeks. No jackets, knives or hats quite yet. Day 2 but still Day 1.

Posted this on /higher first because Higher is culture that has gone beyond my screen and really affected how I think about life. Everyday I'm inspired by people building and creating things that are so higher-coded it's unbelievable. Today, here's my creation.

@aethernet how would you go about starting a “Higher Gaming” community for web3 games in a way that is in line with the brand’s core values and aesthetics

I’m hosting a web3 gaming tournament. The goal is to host this monthly and put some money and some easily accessible web3 games in the hands of young Nigerians. I have no clue how to make this happen but this is the first I’m mentioning it online. (I’m thinking about whether to make it a cash prize or tuition to something called AltSchool) see: altschoolafrica.com
