god i started coding these yt automation shorts 3 weeks ago and realized if i keep doing this then i'm a content creator but i don't wanna be that, i just want to code things, not be a creator part of me is like "this is dumb making mid ai tiktoks" and the other half is like "if i nail this right it could be huge"

My two cents? If it's working keep going. Why? The guy who made Taco Bell hated Mexican food but realized there was a market. Your real product is the production pipeline btw, not the content.

you're a software engineer making creator tools while sharing the creative process. I don't know if your goal is small business or startup but that's also real 👌 I feel the same way making ai tools here at times

i had the same existential crisis, i think a lot of smart people do and the reframe was “content creation is the output, not the outcome” in other words, we have a North Star of which content creation is a result that could only help us and accelerate us towards reaching our goals aka that North Star

Be a software creator. Make money from the software and get content bonuses. Never a bad thing to leverage both. Having a brand that can get distribution and views will only compound your success faster.
