+++ i think the idea of playing w what the treasury means is worth exploring. - what does nouns look like w/o a treasury? - what is nouns if the treasury is not a treasury by any traditional definition?

how do you think about this vs the treasury preservation narrative?

need to spend more time on it, just have long winded thoughts atm. generally thinking of the tradeoff between having it and the fragility/complexity/headaches it brings and wonder if the treasury itself, as a concept, is just too company-like. "what would the most internet native version of this be"

I'm not tying to be snarky about this but I don't know how you can have nouns without a treasury. Is the idea that everyone works for free simply for the love of the meme?

- the inflation still exist, you can reward that retroactively daily. - introduce the burn, dynamic would drastically change from 'saving account' to some gamified alt universe of rewards - also, ppl already do lots of "free" stuff because they love and (own) the meme maybe better worded: im suggesting exploring what nouns looks like w/o a "savings account"

> the inflation still exist What is inflation in this case? Like yield from staking the treasury or something? > gamified universe of rewards I'm worried gamified universe of rewards leads to opportunists abusing the incentives to maximize profit without any alignment towards goals > people do free stuff I agree but I think part of that is because it's fun to feel a part of community that is taken seriously and funding serious projects. I wonder how things would be different if there were no treasury at all and people just worked for the meme. Like it or not, the huge treasury gives nouns credibility and sustains the "fund your dreams" ethos that seems to attract many folks

An interesting middle ground could be staking a huge portion of the treasury temporarily and using the yield as a income source to fund the streamer being developed by prop 582. There would be no sense of preservation over the yield, we spend it all, and it's allocated frictionlessly via the streamer. Middle ground bc the treasury is "safe" in case we end up disliking this idea, but still get to test what it feels like to spend a good bit of $ without feeling like it needs to be conserved

Minor point: this type of test was brought up a lot when implementing a burn mech was seriously considered, but many felt the test wouldnt sufficiently mirror reality, which i think has some merit
