i always said interesting content is subjective. imo dan saying “not enough interesting content” was wrong, or maybe he should have worded it differently. alot of things impact content and the main thing is consumers. there are not enough people on the app so the content is limited to the same people, too many bots engaging. onboarding more people would help, yes. but imagine onboarding someone and they get thrown in spam the same day. making them invisible. nobody likes not being seen. they might be able to make good content but they already feel like they’re not welcome.

A former colleague rode motorcycles. One day he took his bike out on the track & followed a pro around. Faster & faster each lap they went. He followed closely. The pro peeled off after lap 5. Alone into the first turn he wrecked & is lucky to be alive. Following can be dangerous. It can instill confidence beyond abilities.
