so many different “realities” exist across the world

agreed, so important to think and reassess, and as we've discussed, travel opens the mind and allows one to be open-minded to different ways of life and thinking

can never get to all bc so many are in our subconscious, but i do think we can often ask ourselves - what’s led me to think this, am i being overly swayed by anything, and prob most importantly what’s taking the other side look like

I believe that biases should always have one foot in our consciousness and the other outside, just one argument away from being dismissed. They should never be allowed to settle in comfortably, sinking into the mindset of "I'm here to stay forever."

status quo bias - wanting things to stay the same

confirmation bias - seeking out things that we know we’ll agree with

recency bias - giving to much weight to things that just happened

one of the things i can be susceptible of is extrapolating the present thought into the future, often gotta remind myself the future is incredibly unpredictable

The ability to look at oneself, and to reflect external observations upon oneself, is highly valuable and grossly overlooked :/

Absolutely! Reflecting on our biases is crucial, especially in times of rapid change. Open mindedness helps us adapt, grow, and make better decisions as the world evolves.

But there are so many stereotypes everywhere and sometimes people may not even realize it 🥲
