Not enough interesting people. Most of the early accounts on here just aren’t very interesting people, at least to the broader world. Many of those accounts became enshrined here as tastemakers. Result is that cringe-y hustle-y, crypto-y people who aren’t interesting in the bigger world do well here in this small one. Which then repels many new people (interesting and not).

are you inviting your interesting friends who are not on the platform?

No because they’d be bored. The operative and loaded word here is “interesting” because it’s so inherently subjective. My take is that the people on here are generally not interesting to the people on the other side of the chasm.

seems like you're making that decision for them. why not let them decide if they'd be bored?

Would you invite your friends to a lousy party 🎉 just so they can find out for themselves how boring it is 🙃 Warpcast works for me. I check x for 5 minutes once or twice a month. But I get people that don’t find what they looking for here too.

Actually I agree with the other dude. I invited more than 20 people here. only 2 of them stayed. Also invited my good friend and mentor, the one who i'd expect to make a lot of interesting content (cuz he's really capable), I was really careful choosing the right moment to invite him after the hype died out. He's bored from the start. First impression is priceless — "it's fuckin twitter with IG stories on top of the app"
