The rate reduction not only drove the expansion of stablecoin demand but also, as the RWA benchmark rate decreased, from a risk-adjusted standpoint, Ethena became more appealing, able to offset the impact of the decline in real interest rates on traditional fixed-income products

What's the difference between a scam and a cultural meme? A cultural meme has just a bit more culture than scam 😀

Sometimes reading a book with me is like dealing with a child. It goes something like this: Me: do you want to read a book? July: yeah Me: what do you want to read? July: I don’t know Me: ok how about this sci fi… (we start reading together) July: no this book sucks Me: ok fine, how about this one on philosophy? That’ll put you to sleep July: no this book sucks too - philosophy sucks Me: what? You love philosophy you couldn’t shut up about philosophy just the other day July: I don’t want to read it Me: ok fine *picks up a pamphlet from 3 years ago on a trip we went* ok how about this tourist guide from 3 years ago about Malta July: ohhhh yeah this is great! Jordan Fish (alias Cobie), a cryptocurrency trader, wrote on the X platform: "Bitcoin flipping gold is just a reminder to return to rational reality. The multiple it flips is a more interesting question. Perhaps 5 to 10 times is a fair valuation that is approaching in this process." - I spilled my hojicha latte all over my white tablecloth and ruined a bunch of inventory. Soured my mood but I ended up giving the tablecloth to my other vendor neighbour, a super talented designer who thrifts materials and upcycles it into clothing. I saw him sell a jacket for $500 the first day and then the handbag for $300 the next day to the same customer. Really amazed me at the type of relationship he had w his customers - I sense I was tough on my employee because I was stressed. I wasn’t rude with her, but I did give a lot of feedback. Halfway through we broke even and by the end of the night we reached our sales goal. I doubled down on the encouragements after I recognized I was stressed. - Learning that there will always be one customer who hates my product. Some customers make these gross faces after smelling my candles 😩

Recap of this past market: - I was really in my head. I’m not usually in my head but today was objectively hard. Had difficult customers. - Someone asked me why I didn’t do the scents side by side instead of stacked ontop inside my jar. I had to turn it sideways and explain to them that it was impossible to pour a candle like that, also if both scents were side by side they’d still only get 1? - One of the other vendors at the market told me she only made $30 after 6 hours of work 😭 I felt so bad for her. And you know what she used her $30 on? A /humankind candle! That was so sweet of her. Usually I give vendors 10% off but she was so lovely I gave her 15% off. - I lent my vendor neighbour change. At first I was a bit hesitant because I didn’t know him, but he surprised me with this wonderful drawing of me and my employee.
