Ig one thing to draw is that fc community has an extremely sensitive trigger for the unique sorts of scammy behavior that often characterize crypto networks (eg crypto twitter, nft discords, lens, etc) Also, yalls vouch for the yup team means something, since to me the whole thing + how it was handled felt sketchy

Do you consider this a Warpcast problem or a farcaster problem? Spam seems expected in a permissionless protocol (although it will cost) but I can see how it’s an issue for warpcast to create an algo that doesn’t surface spam to users.

So at some point on lens API, they implemented such spam filter for bots but then users cried that they don't receive likes anymore and most of the filters are now gone. To be honest there's an interview on "the defiant" on YouTube with a guy employed by lens that says in the interview that around 50/100 are bots.
