what's been (or continues to be) Dan/Varun's biggest mistake with Farcaster or Warpcast?

I mean I understand why they didn't prioritize video so I'm not going to call it a mistake. I'd say the biggest ongoing mistake is not having a dedicated UX/UI person. There've been a lot of bad UX decisions and persistent UI bugs over the last year

Who is a good UI/UX person? I'm happy to look at their work.

Agree that Explore is bad, but it's a matter of prioritization. Minimal clicks on the page both from new users and existing users.

So the focus is on the main feed where people spend 80-90% of the time.

Most common way people discover users is through a cast in their feed. :)

To me, the Explore page is the biggest example of an area that needs better UX. The infinitely scrolling list doesnt scale well at the amount of users and channels grows so large. A possible solution would be several panels atop that page with featured, trending, latest, etc, and then perhaps a long list below.

UI/UX is evolutionary. If you goal is usage, you optimize for the patterns that get people to use it. Otherwise, it's an art project (which is valid and has a time/place). Just have to know what you're optimizing for. :)

Most apps are homogeneous these days from a UI perspective.

We just optimise for UX based on goals.

Worst persistent bug imo was not being able to choose a channel after starting to type a new cast - on iOS at least
