I mean I understand why they didn't prioritize video so I'm not going to call it a mistake. I'd say the biggest ongoing mistake is not having a dedicated UX/UI person. There've been a lot of bad UX decisions and persistent UI bugs over the last year

lack of incentives for people to be more active on farcaster vs twitter needs to be a clear benefit of farcaster for users to give up the network effects of other social media

The barrier to adoption is still way too high. I don’t know what the solution would be, but you need a lot of Ethereum knowledge to get onboarded. I think the same level of onboarding difficulty as the Coinbase or Binance would help solve this bottleneck. Maybe something with embedded wallets?

One of the most interesting things about this thread is the fact you have the founder directly replying, taking note, taking action on this thread. And seeing how people respond is interesting too. You really don’t see that on other apps.

imagining the app to occupy well worn grooves instead of imagining it as something that would grind entirely separate grooves of its own i know it’s way harder to get a user base when most users have to gain their understanding of the platform from preexisting models but I’m all for just cold start, alien models

think they dropped the ball of initial user experience, dan held that up for a while, but afterwards it just turned into dumping people on the same accounts which analytically led to an echo chamber and provides less desirable social opportunity for the same level of content creator. my alts are not engaged or known

absence of non-algo feed, which could also mean level of customization/managing tools is not introduced on time (e.g. muting users, now muting channels). With big updates Warpcast becomes noisy and unusable for some time, which directly affects on how much time a "qdau" spends online.
