California: talk progressive, act conservative.

Texas: chaotic energy, but still energy, and plenty of clean energy

This has everything to do with the changes to CA solar laws last year.  We’ve still installed more than 2x the capacity that Texas has because we’ve been incentivizing it for 20+ years.

Lol, that's a bad analogy, as Texas has a ton of wind.

Also CA is a massive net importer of electricity on hot days (from fossil fuel based sources). They also barely kept Diablo Canyon open last year. Too many people here are focused on climate virtue signaling.

OK, California is the leader in renewables and makes it easy for people who want to build new carbon free electricity and encourages manufacturing of EVs in state. Every state should follow its example. 🤣

Not sure how any of this is virtue signaling as much as it is simping for Texas?
