This has everything to do with the changes to CA solar laws last year. We’ve still installed more than 2x the capacity that Texas has because we’ve been incentivizing it for 20+ years.

Worth noting that this graph is growth. In terms of production of solar, California generates 2x more solar mwh than Texas. Texas is king of wind power. #1 by far and not even close.

If you want to put solar on that roof I need to send the inspector who can decide if they should send an inspector who will then send an inspector who will decide if they can present it to the community board who will send it back to an inspector who decide if it’s safe for the birds to sit on before making the final decision.

Realll, but somehow also, i feel it’s cos of company presence, major companies based in texas are generally pushing for it as opposed to california. There’re surely other factors too tho
