This might be extreme ask but encryption would be great somewhere down the line. Over time as the network grows DCing could become an equally secure alternative to Signal and other encrypted messaging apps.

- liveness - x is typing... - gif support - gif reactions are high value in convos as it is in cast replies - voice record and hit send would be nice but can't imagine using it much

these are the two reasons people typically move to telegram or DM me on telegram these days, and would rather keep those messages in WC: - allow video / file sharing (and collect / access them in group info vs scrolling) - allow channels / topics both within a group chat and in the DM tab

by priority: - Send message on Enter if sending an image with a caption (used to it from telegram) - cross-tab sync (message sent in one tab sometimes doesn’t get pulled in the other one) - multiple pictures upload support (not very critical but when need to send more pics, the chat history becomes less organized.

better sort and filtering sort: new to old, old to new filtering: read, unread, individuals, groups, @ mentions common wants: - only display unread dcs from individuals, old to new - only display unread dcs from groups, new to old

i think reliability in general: - messages show up randomly - sometimes have to refresh (f5 browser, kill wc on iphone) multiple times for them to show - notifications don't show when new message arrives, or they show and there's nothing new (but maybe just the above issue) this doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to think twice before using DCs vs anything else.
