Will be cleaning up both usernames and and channels soon in a batch. If you want a decentralized username, use ENS.

Though ENS still uses ICANN which is not decentralized. HNS or Handshake was aiming to be a truly decentralized naming system but I haven’t heard much from them in a couple of years.

have some cool ideas for /domains maybe do custodians for set amounts of time, then the channel votes for the next custodian (or votes them in again: two or three terms maximum)
