Instagram and Snap are the two best arguments for. But beyond the logo and design for Instagram, still very much a tech insider app that blew up. Snap is different.

i think early instagram, partiful, early path, dating apps, were all great examples of branding mattering for social apps. branding signals belonging and tribe
