Filmmaking, much like any creative venture, is all about the creators immersion in your own head. And the only way to learn is a lot of time in your own head. Scorsese recently remarked that only now does he see the full potential of cinema so clearly that complete immersion of learning never stops

A fun activity I did in college was count the number cuts in the scene where he says, "The rest of my attention is focused in the offices of Facebook, where we're doing things nobody in this room, including and especially your clients are intellectually or creatively capable of doing." I think it's about 40-50
