Why do you care about price if you’re learning about the asset?

agree that price is meaningless compared to market cap if you first visit the page but each consecutive checkin- price matters increasingly because you get a general sense for the token over time, esp if your goal is holding for a slightly longer time horizon, like DCAing fartcoin. for example- if it's ranging within $10-12, if it finally hit $1 (psychological level), etc. you could argue that the user could simply track market cap- which people do for sure, but i think many still use price at a quick glance to see if it's moved up or down. imo both are nice to have, rly depends on which number is more annoying ex 1: coin hits $100m market cap, but price is some weird thing like $0.000541. price is worthless to really track here ex 2: coin hits $1 but market cap is $478k. psychologically still notable/interesting that the price hit a dollar flat another argument for price is that many apps like dexscreener show price as the primary metric esp in the search/watchlist page. so ppl are used to tracking it

Because price is the most common way to measure value. If you wanted to learn about a property / asset, the price is a key factor. If you are considering taking a trip, the price is a key factor. If you wanted to buy food for your family for a week, the price of each item is a key factor. I get your point, I do. Regardless of how idealistic your points is, people care about price. Leaving it out is a grave mistake.

Price, amount of coins and market cap are all equally important when. Looking at a coin.

I dont think this is the place to learn about the asset, if you’re looking at holders and price change and market cap you should also see price and chart. If you want to learn about the asset you’d go to other places
